New Garage Building

Garage Builder in Virginia and Maryland

Goldstein Construction builds detached and semi-detached residential garages in Virginia and Maryland. We start the building process from the plans and permits and take it all the way to the end.

A detached garage is free-standing structure, separate from the main building. There are various sizes for the garages, it various by the capacity of it. A detached garage capacity starts from 2 cars to 10 cars. It depends on the size of your lot. Bigger the lot bigger the capacity. Also, the detached garage will add real value to your property. On the other hand, garages have different ways to use, such as store your cars, store your furniture, store your exterior garden materials.

Customizing and designing your garage, works the same way as your home. You can select the interior and exterior finishes, you can decide the structural type of the garage, colors of the walls and floors, door types and finishing materials.

Process of Building Garage

  • 1- Conception
  • 2- Design
  • 3- Preconstruction
  • 4- Procurement
  • 5- Construction
  • 6- Post Construction

1- Conception

In this stage a planning team work with the customer and decide the goals of the project through a feasibility study. Major decisions will be made at this stage, such as size of the building, materials, colors, textures and finishes. In order to develop the right design, we will coordinate with the architects, designers, suppliers and engineers.

2- Design

In the design process, the architect will draw the plans according to the regulations. The customers’ dreams will meet with the reality on the computer screen. Once the final plans are approved by the client, designers will start putting the finishing materials with the client. Sending these plans to the permit office will complete this process.

3- Preconstruction

At this stage, project management team prepares the construction site before the work begins. The construction site must be ready for the work, which includes environmental issues, fences, cutting trees etc. Once the site is ready, the project team will gather the workmanship and resources required for the construction.

4- Procurement

Procurement stage is the fourth stage for the construction phases. During this stage, the project management team orders, purchases, or rents all the materials, tools and services to complete the project.

5- The Construction

The construction phase is the project execution phase. All the plannings made on the previous stages will be executed on this stage. In this phase, the progress of the construction will be fast and quick. The architect, engineers and project managers will inspect the work and make sure everything is completed by the code. Therefore, city/county inspections will not be a headache during the process.

6- The Post Construction

The post construction phase is the last step of the whole process. In order to complete and close the whole project smoothly, there are things we need to take into consideration. First of all, final inspection from the city or county should be passed. All the leftover materials should be returned to the suppliers. The finishing punch list must be completed together with the client.
